Stop Messing About — Nationalise The Banks

Following the spectacular and resounding failure of casino capitalism in the banking ‘powerhouses’ of the western neo-liberal economies, the Brown Labour government must nationalise British banks and prosecute the banking executives and senior managers who are stealing billions of pounds from taxpayers. Banks are taking massive handouts from the public purse — another £200 billion is on the way to them soon — while refusing to allow public control of their business. As the number of those registered as unemployed nears two million, the banks are paying their staff bonuses for turning people out of their homes.
The government must stop giving our money away to the private sector and bring the banking services under workers’ management and control to meet the current and future needs of all, not just a few wealthy parasites.
